JPMorgan Brings Its Tokenized Money Market Funds to Solana

2026-10-23

JPMorgan Asset Management has officially launched its tokenized money market fund platform on Solana, marking the latest chapter in the bank's blockchain infrastructure push. Solana is now the second network to host these products, following an Ethereum debut earlier in the year.

Two funds now live on Solana: My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) and JPMorgan OnChain Liquidity–Token Money Market Fund (JLTXX). Both are accessible to qualified U.S. investors through Morgan Money, JPMorgan's unified platform for managing tokenized assets across blockchains. The launch, announced October 22, 2026, lets investors subscribe, redeem, and hold token balances through a single interface without juggling separate platforms for each network.

The funds target different corners of JPMorgan's institutional client base. MONY is a Regulation D Rule 506(c) private placement offering qualified investors exposure to U.S. dollar yields. JPMorgan seeded it on Ethereum in December 2025 with $100 million of its own capital. JLTXX is a U.S.-registered government money market fund built to support stablecoin issuers managing reserves under the GENIUS Act regulatory framework. JPMorgan launched JLTXX on Ethereum in May 2026 with $100 million, working alongside Anchorage Digital, a digital finance infrastructure heavyweight.

The real muscle here is Morgan Money itself. It consolidates subscriptions, redemptions, and token balance management across blockchains. Investors keep control of token balances at their own blockchain addresses while using Morgan Money to execute trades. Translation: institutional clients no longer need separate platforms depending on which blockchain they're using. That's the kind of friction kill that matters when you're managing trillions.

JPMorgan Asset Management oversees $4.8 trillion in assets under management as of September 30, 2026. It's a heavyweight move, though the bank hasn't disclosed how much capital it expects to deploy across either fund on Solana, or named specific clients who've subscribed to these tokenized offerings on the network.

The Solana expansion is a deliberate choice. Solana has become the network of choice for tokenized asset applications among financial institutions—praised for speed and low costs, both essential for large-scale cash management. JPMorgan's decision to build dual-chain support signals confidence in Solana's capabilities as infrastructure for traditional finance and points to broader institutional adoption of the network for real-world asset tokenization.
